"I began exploring yoga class 8 years ago as someone who suffered chronic neck and back pain, worked in a high-stress environment and had never been able to touch their toes. I was exactly the type of person yoga is meant for.
A long and winding path found me living a tranquil life in Southeast Asia and set the stage for my love of yoga and all the benefits that the practice offers to bloom fully. My daily practice began 3 years ago when pregnant with my daughter, as yoga was the only thing that could soothe my aching joints and quiet the roller-coaster of emotions that come with the territory of carrying a child.
I want to help others discover the balance and physical benefits this ancient practice can unlock. If you are inflexible, injury-prone or easily fatigued, please try this class! You will be surprised at the rejuvenation yoga brings.
When not on the mat, you’ll find me getting my Zen in the kitchen, cooking everything from Spanish to Sri Lankan, or wandering the streets of downtown with my toddler and benevolent sidekick: Coco B."

"Power Yoga is an upbeat and challenging form of yoga that will help you achieve total body fitness: inside and out. We always begin with tension releasing postures and move through sun salutations, standing and seated postures.
Many traditional Western forms of exercise shorten and tense muscles; yoga will help work through tightness as well as provide the flexibility you need to prevent many common sports-related injuries.
In addition to a thorough workout, you will receive coaching in alignment, relaxation and breathe control.
This class provides modifications for all levels of fitness as well as a welcoming environment. Anyone of any age, body shape or fitness level can benefit from this class.
You will be guided through manageable but challenging postures but not be intimidated by anyone asking you to do cartwheels or put your toes in your ears.
Yoga is best done on an empty stomach…so hold off on that Thanksgiving dinner. Have some fruit or juice if you need something to power yourself up before class.
You will need a yoga mat and to wear light, breathable clothing that does not restrict your movement.
Hydration is important as many yoga poses flush toxins from the kidneys, so drink plenty of water before and after class.
Please join us and feel the energy and overall wellness yoga can generate within you!"
