When I started taking the boxing class I had no intention of losing weight, but I went down to about four percent body fat in no time at all. It burns a TON of calories. It's a fun change of pace compared to running on a treadmill, and a great way to improve your cardiovascular endurance. I loved it so much that now I'm instructing the class, and I incorporate boxing moves with my personal training clients as well.

If you're thinking about coming to class but are intimidated, just remember: everybody starts at the beginning. Everybody in the class is at a different skill level. Everybody works at their own pace, so there's no pressure. Every class will be different; some days we may incorporate weight training in addition to boxing skills. While it's not an 'aerobics' class, there's no competition and no contact. It's just a fun class that kicks your ass. I haven't found anyone yet who hasn't liked it. So come in and try it out!"

* Bring a pair of boxing gloves. We have some to loan but you'll want your own pair.
Brain damage from even relatively light head and shoulder punches is not funny and is never part of our workouts.
