I love working hard and making my legs cry “uncle,” “auntie,” and “cousin.” I love sweating through 1 shirt and 2-3 hand towels. I love getting to the point where I am turning up the tension knob and doing more than what’s asked. That’s progress!

Music makes it fun to come to class and ride your heart out. I put deep thought into the music we ride to and welcome your thoughts as well (unless, of course, they don’t match mine... then I’ll give you a dirty look and ignore you). We might ride to a Britney tribute, sing along to 80s hair bands, bang our heads to a hard rock festival, or get jiggy with a dance ride. We might don our holiday workout gear and ride to the music of the holiday of the moment. Who knows … we might get creative and ride to a combo of all of the above! Sing-a-longs will not only be welcomed … but encouraged. You can sing, but I’ll just hum along (you'll thank me later).

Why is bike-on-a-stand the class for you? Because it's a kick-butt workout and just about anybody can do it. Up or down – that’s all you need to know. Turn the tension up or turn the tension down. Stand up while pedaling, or sit down. Easy peasy. My class is non-competitive and self-paced... meaning you work as hard as you want... not necessarily as hard as you can. I won’t yell at you except to say “GOOD JOB!” “WOO!” or “WAY TO GO!” I believe if the workout is fun and if you are encouraged along the way, you’ll come back. And the more you come back, the better your results will be.
