She realized her passion for massage therapy as young as four years old, when she started rubbing her mother's back. Growing up involved in sports, friends and teammates would approach her when sore muscles needed a little attention.

Her participation in track, cheerleading, volleyball and drill team gave Kat a focus near the structural end of the massage spectrum. Two of her greatest strengths as a massage therapist are her enthusiasm and energy. She is a thourough listener and learner. In school she complimented her western anatomical knowledge with chinese medicine, hot stone and most recently Upledger Institute CranioSacral Therapy.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle treatment approach that works with the natural, self-correcting mechanism of the body. Using a soft touch generally no greater than five grams of pressure, practitioners release restrictions in the CranioSacral system (fluids and membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord) to improve the function of the CNS by focusing on the cause rather than the symptoms.

Kat attended the Massage Therapy Training Institute here in Kansas City. She is currently available at SF 3.0 on Fridays and Saturdays.
