Kip Ludwigs began her massage career at a very young age when she was forced to rub her mother's feet. Trading "back rubs" in her family was just a natural part of Kip's childhood and this informal knowledge was fortified with formal training begining in 1996. As a server and manager in several locally owned Kansas City restauarants and coffee shops, Kip continued to work, pay for massage classes, and learn all aspects of running small businesses.
Kip graduated from the MTTI therapeutic massage program in 2003 and is a member of the ABPM, NCBTBMP, and is licensed in the state of Missouri.
Kip has worked in gym settings, high-brow spa settings, in homes, and finally a place to practice massage that is unique and true to her style and priorities.
"For me massage therapy is a little like riding a bike. You can study physics as much as you'd like, but you really only get better at riding by doing it. Massage is something I have done as long as I can remember. I love learning in a class room setting, but I learn the most by simply doing it. Before I had any formal training, I knew how to calm my mother, find "knots" and such. Clients will ask how I know where they hurt, where they need work. I don't always have an explanation for how I know. I also can't really explain how a bicycle works."

"Clients come to me for many reasons (injury, stress, as an indulgence) but my main objective with each client is the same. I want you to gain awareness. I cannot change the way you walk in 90 minutes, but you can leave my office with knowledge of a tightness you may have in your hips. When I use all the tools I have to help you center, focus on yourself for a period of time and relax as much as possible, you will leave with a greater awareness of where you hold tension, have stiff joints, and if you are not breathing properly. You will experience relief while in session, which is GREAT! But I believe the greatest gift is the new awareness you will have of your potential for feeling relaxed and what you might need to change."

"Consistency---either a massage therapist gives their all consistently or is consistently just putting in the hour or 90 minutes..
Kip's massage tenchnique is consistently wonderful. She begins each session with a brief consultation to find out the problem areas that need to be worked on, and then the massage begins,(this is always an AHHHHH momemt for me) not only does she consistently find all of the problem areas mentioned in the consultation, but she somehow manages to find others which are related to the problem areas or my cause problems later on.
The only consistently bad thing about using Kip as a massage therapist is when the massage is over....you wish it could go on forever.
Thank you Kip!!!!"
