Scott Fitness is for regular humans who want an enjoyable place to exercise. We discourage body builders, grunting power lifters and spandex. There are other gyms better suited for "meatheads." Scott Fitness reserves the right to deny or cancel memberships.
Yup, We're Different
Scott Fitness is different than most exercise clubs in that we have a service-driven business model rather than a sales-driven business model. Scott Fitness operates under the philosophy that our gym and our honesty will gain us memberships rather than pushy sales people or lengthy contracts and sales "specials."
Some cheesy wanker like this guy will show you around the gym and if you're interested in joining, we'll sign you up. If we don't fit your exercise needs, we'll suggest other clubs that may be more suitable for you. Getting a membership at Scott Fitness is not like buying a used car. The membership prices are always the same, and they are clear. There are no hidden charges, sign-up dues or cancellation fees.
Secure Access
Scott Fitness is accessible 24 hours a day by use of a biometric hand scan recognition door access system. When members sign up, they are assigned a member ID and then their right hand is scanned and stored in our database.
 "We want our members to feel safe. We enforce that all members scan in when they enter the building. Even if you are at the gym every day and we know your mother's maiden name, we still would like you to scan in. Humor us; it's for your safety. If you want to bring a friend to the gym to show them around, please call first and let us know."

Payment Options
People can choose to join on an on-going monthly basis - for six months or for one year. Six-month and one-year memberships are paid in full with a credit card, a debit card, a check or cash. Monthly memberships are paid with a credit card or a debit card ONLY. We keep the card number on file and run it each month until the member wants to cancel his/her membership. To cancel a membership, we simply ask that you cancel your membership before the day your card is run. Cards are run on either the 1st or the 15th of each month. New monthly memberships are prorated and run on the sign up day. The card will be charged on the 1st or 15th of the month, after the first month.
A Couple is Two People
Couples can join at a reduced rate. What is a couple? A couple to us is any two people who sign up together and pay with the same credit card. Scott Fitness recognizes friends, neighbors, cousins, married couples and life partners as couples. No, you may not consolidate two existing single monthly memberships into one couple membership. A member may upgrade his/her single membership to a couple membership by adding a new member.
Adding a Person to Your Membership
If you buy a 6-month or 12-month membership you may not add someone to your membership (or cancel the membership) until your six months or 12 months is up. Your 6-month or 12-month membership will not be automatically renewed. Don't ask to add someone to your 6-month or 12-month membership. You are welcome to add and remove people from your monthly membership. Make changes to your monthly membership at least (1) one day BEFORE your bill date.

Want to Join?
 You're welcome to come by either SF 1.0 or SF 2.0 any time between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day, including weekends. Front desk people are busy but keep an eye on the vestibules for people who are interested in looking at the gyms. At any time and if you are unable to raise a front desk person's attention, please call 816.960.0502. I'll call the front desk attendant's cell phone and get them to the front door and to you.

Monthly billing
- $40/month plus tax - single membership
- $60/month plus tax - couple membership
- Billed monthly to a credit/debit card
* Checks and cash are NOT accepted for monthly memberships
Cancellation
Simply notify us one day before your billing date.
Need to Cancel?: You MUST call at least (1) one day before your billing date. Bill dates are either on the 1st or the 15th of the month. If you call on your billing date or after, your card will have already been charged and your money CANNOT be refunded.
No Sneaky, Sneaky: Everyone MUST scan into the hand scanner when entering the gym. DO NOT hold the door open for others. DO NOT let anyone in the gym. If you allow non-members into the gym, your membership will be cancelled.
