"Kicking Ass is my comfort food."*

When it comes to your body, nothing feels better than the results of a program that strips away the baby fat and builds a strong frame that leaves your friends and family wondering what your "secret" is. The secret is actually pretty simple, but it isn't easy. It takes a consistent and progressive workout program and support from a trained professional to get your body into the best shape of your life. I know because I've trained by myself for years, and then I hired a trainer. My life (and my body) never looked the same. There is a special something that happens when you find the right trainer who knows how to take care of you and knows how to PUSH you in the right direction. If you're spending even ten minutes a day on your health and fitness, you owe it to yourself to invest in the help of a trainer who has been there so he/she can teach you the way.

"I've been there."

I know I can help a lot of people because I've struggled with the same problems a lot of you have. I grew up being the chubby kid all the way until high school. I was sick and tired of being chubby (My mom called it Husky, and I can tell you I was a far cry from the muscular frame of the hardest working dog on the planet!), so I went on a crash diet. I lost almost 80 pounds in several months one summer and came back to school looking like I hadn't eaten since spring. Needless to say I wasn't happy with this (although anything was an improvement over being the kid at the vending machine every break). I looked better, but I looked pretty ill (and not in the good way). So I started working out and eating more protein. Over the next two years, I got into incredible shape. Then I got to college... and discovered beer... and pot... and girls. It took a couple of years, but I undid all my hard work! A couple years ago, though, I re-dedicated myself to a more healthy lifestyle. I quit smoking cigarettes, all but completely quit the alcohol and pot, and did something I should have done years ago, I got a personal trainer (John Mobley). My life, my body, and my health haven't been the same since. I was so inspired by the experience that I decided to get certified as a personal trainer so that I can help change people's lives as much as my own. Nothing would satisfy me more than helping others achieve the same.

If you're ready to change your life, then drop me a line, and we'll get started immediately. I'll help you get in the best shape of your life. Are you looking to gain muscle? We will plan out a weekly program and will document your weights, sets and reps so you know that you're progressing rather than just randomly picking up some dumbbells and wondering why there's no progress. Are you wanting to lose fat? We'll put you on a program that will ramp up your metabolism and maintain your lean mass while you make a few adjustments to your diet to look amazing by the time beach season comes around again.

Have you just started working out and are intimidated by all the options and machines and weights? Let me be your guide. I'll listen carefully to your goals and your ambitions as well as any possible weaknesses and will help you on your way. I will navigate your way through the maze of machines and weights and help you pick exercises that will work best for your goals.

Have you been training for a couple years or more and don't seem to be getting any more results? It's not your fault! I'll show you why AND how to recharge your results!

Have you noticed the best results in the gym always come when you are being pushed harder than you can push yourself? Allow me to be that friend that pushes you out of your comfort zone but will protect you from over training and injury.

"Just say NO to Cardio!"

My training philosophy is simple. Move as much muscle as possible in as little time as possible. This is referred to as High Intensity Training. If you push yourself to move as quickly from one exercise to another as you can, you are going to get a workout that improves strength, muscle tone, AND fat burning cardio-vascular effects. Don't get me wrong, I think there is a time and place for long and steady sessions on the treadmill - next day recovery, general health, etc - But you will burn far more calories and achieve far better body composition results (i.e. LOOK GOOD NAKED!) when you are pushing yourself to the limit.

Don't be intimidated if you are just starting out. Our first visit will always include a health and fitness assessment. Everyone is at a different place, and I want to know where YOU are right NOW. I also want to know where you want to go. From there we'll build a concrete plan to get you there. We will ease you into the whole process, and before you know it, you'll be able to do twice more than before and look better than ever!

*(Actually my comfort food is really cinnamon rolls, and not just regular cinnamon rolls, the gooey kind with pecans on them!)
