"I haven't been able to hold still since before birth. From the age of six to age eleven I was a competitive swimmer, until I was forced onto dry land by an allergy to mold at the pool. Then I found dance, and spent the next 10 years studying modern dance, ballet and jazz. During this time, the combination of growing and the stress of dancing each day lead to hip and knee joint problems. After a stint in physical therapy, the curtain finally came down on my dance career.

As years went by - like so many other people out there - my level of physical activity decreased and my poor lifestyle choices increased. I soon found that my once well-honed, athletic body had expanded to an admittedly portly 200 pounds. My apartment complex at the time had an agreement with a local gym that was within walking distance and I decided, why not? I walked in the first day not knowing what to expect. I got on an elliptical and my body said, "What is this and why are you doing it to me??!!". Even though it was an adjustment, I kept going back, and I re-committed to the basics of nutrition. Before I knew it, I had lost 45 pounds - and found a whole new me!

Through personal training, I not only share my enthusiasm for training, but also for the function and mechanics of the body. But serious training doesn't mean we can't have fun too! Together, you will achieve your personal goals, be empowered to reach beyond what you think you're capable of - through proper nutrition, resistance and cardio training - and you'll have a great time doing it.
