Fitness is a lifestyle; a journey that is traversed through consistent baby steps. Our culture has a bias toward gimmicky contraptions, diet pills, impossible diets and cosmetic surgery. We can all envision that “one guy” wearing his electronic abdominal exercising belt whilst popping hoodia stink berry herbs as if it were Pez in a futile attempt to look like some airbrushed cover model featured on the cover of a fashion magazine.

Keith Winston, Scott Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer My own personal experience as an obese adolescent, my public school teacher background and the knowledge I gained when I became W.I.T.S certified gives me insight, sound strategy and practical knowledge to help you be successful. Firsthand experience of a high school gym coach that berated me for being overweight and not doing better, no matter what positive thing I accomplished, did little to motivate me to step toward the next level. I like to accent the positive: something is always better than nothing. My experience as a public educator has given me strategies that ensure that anyone wanting to succeed can and eventually will.

When I taught students I learned how to scaffold lessons enabling students to be academically successful. My workout sessions move at a pace that is challenging but not overwhelming allowing you to progress and improve at a rate you are comfortable with. Through the W.I.T.S. certification class I received basic knowledge of exercise science so all routines are as safe and effective as possible. An exercise routine that makes you so sore that you are not consistently exercising over a given span of time is disappointing and self defeating. My routines are tailored made to fit most clients’ objectives with a focus on weight loss, endurance and general strength building.
